How to Wear a Lace Front Wig

Lace Front Wigs are a great way to change up your look. They also work well for people who have hair loss due to chemotherapy, medical conditions, or just want added volume at the crown of their head. However, before you wear one, you need to know how to put it on correctly!

First And Foremost Examine The Wig When You Take It Out Of The Package

You never know if there were any issues with the lace front wig during the shipping process. So it is better to check your wig when you take it out of the package. Don’t just wear the wig right after taking it out from the package.

Use The Right Adhesive

There are many adhesives on the market, but not all will work with lace front wigs. You need an adhesive that is strong enough to hold the wig in place but also gentle enough so it doesn’t damage the hair or skin. It should also be able to come off easily when needed.

Use the adhesive like you would a glue stick and apply it along your part line or where ever you want to place the wig cap on your head. Make sure that there is enough adhesive under the lace front wig, but do not add too much! You may end up with residue on the lace front wig.

Use A Comb To Place The Hair Into Place And Hold It Until The Adhesive Dries

Then, use a fine-toothed comb or brush to evenly distribute all of your natural hair’s oils throughout the lace front wig, so it looks its best. Make sure you are using gentle strokes while brushing so you don’t pull on the hair or damage the lace.

Once everything is in place, hold the wig in place with one hand while using the other to wait for the adhesive to dry (usually around 60 seconds). Then you are good to go!

Make Sure The Adhesive Does Not Damage Your Natural Hair

Make sure you are using proper adhesive to wear your lace front wig. Do not use regular glue! It may damage the hair or come off too easily when it should stay in place until removed. It is also important to use a fine-tooth comb or brush and gentle strokes when brushing the hair. Also, make sure you are holding everything in place until the adhesive is dry, so it does not slip throughout your day!

Remove The Wig After 6 Weeks

You might want to wear your wig for longer periods of time, but believe it or not, but your wig isn’t going to be the same after six weeks. So if you want to wear the wig again, make sure you remove it and give your natural hair a break.

Now you know how to wear a lace front wig like a pro! Just remember to follow the above steps, and you’ll have a great experience with your lace front wig.
