I always turn to fresh juice blends during the summer to keep me cool. They are high in nutrients and can be delicious if prepared correctly. I like to include a variety of fruits and vegetables so that you have enough fruit to enjoy while remaining healthy. Fresh-pressed Juice only requires a juicer, which is great because it eliminates the need to heat up the house. You can add ice to your fresh juice blends for an extra cold and delicious treat.
This fresh juice blend is no exception. The gorgeous pink color reflects how vibrant and fresh the produce used in it is. At the same time, this Juice is sweet and refreshing – ideal for a hot summer day! This Juice is best served with a bit of ice to make it even cooler. The addition of mint and cucumber is also very refreshing and cool.
Some mint leaves
2 celery stalks
2 slices pineapple
Wash, chop and peel the produce as needed. Put through your juicer, drink up the goodness, and glow.
SECRET WEIGHT LOSS JUICE
If you’re looking for cheap juice, this is it! It only costs a dollar or two to make, and it tastes so refreshing and delicious. Not only that, but cabbage is a secret weight loss ingredient in this Juice if you’re trying to lose weight. I love how unique the cabbage is in this Juice because I would never have thought of juicing cabbage until I came across this recipe. This is an excellent summer drink.
3 peeled oranges
1/2 young cabbage [yes, this is the secret ingredient!!] Cabbage is AMAZING for weight loss and also very inexpensive!]
half a lemon’s Juice
1 small carrot
a thumb-sized piece of ginger [great for boosting metabolism – burn that extra fat!!]
Just juice them all! As simple as that! There is no need for a sweetener, but if desired, you can add some non-calorific Stevia extract.
SWEET KALE GRAPE JUICE
Have you ever tried kale juice only to find it bitter? I know I have. That is until I discovered this recipe. This kale juice tastes delicious, sweet grape juice (you can use as many grapes as you want to make it taste more or less like kale), and you can barely taste the kale. In this Juice, the kale flavor is just a refreshing addition rather than a bitter aftertaste. The best kale juice I’ve ever had, and it only requires two ingredients! It makes a nice big glass, and you can drink it all guilt-free.
1 to 2 bags of red grapes, depending on sweetness preference
1 kale head
Juice all of the ingredients. Strain through a fine mesh strainer, filtration bag, or sheer nylon hosiery. 1 – 2 people
GREEN WATERMELON COOLER
The name of this green Juice is refreshing in and of itself. It is truly refreshing and ideal for the summer when watermelon is at its peak. The addition of mint and lime enhances the Juice’s fresh and cooling qualities. Romaine is the green in this Juice, so you won’t be able to taste it. It will provide all of the benefits of greens while tasting like a sweet and juicy watermelon drink.
3 cup cubed watermelon
1 bunch of organic celery
1 English cucumber, peeled if not organic
3 sprigs of fresh mint
2 limes, peeled
1 head of romaine lettuce
Run all of the ingredients through your juicer according to the instructions. Stir your juice yield and serve immediately, or store in airtight containers like mason jars in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. The sooner you drink your Juice, the more nutrient-dense it will be. Enjoy!
SPINACH, PINEAPPLE, AND ORANGE JUICE
I know this drink has only three ingredients, but they taste amazing when combined! I can’t get enough of this delectable green Juice. It tastes like you’re sipping a tropical drink and cooling off in the tropics. You won’t even be able to taste the spinach, but you’ll get all of its concentrated nutrients and benefits. You won’t be disappointed if you try this juice blend! If you’re interested, it also makes a tasty smoothie.
1 cup fresh diced pineapple
1 cup spinach
3-4 medium oranges (1 cup of orange Juice if making a smoothie)
Juice everything in a juicer or place everything in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
LEMONADE STRAWBERRY KALE
Try this green lemonade instead of a glass of processed sugar lemonade! It’s delicious and packed with kale, which is high in nutrients. This lemonade is only sweetened with apples and strawberries, and you can add more apples if it’s not sweet enough for you. Strawberry juice is delicious, especially during the summer when strawberries are in season. That makes this drink ideal for sipping by the pool in the heat.
1 bunch (about 6 leaves and stalks) of kale
1 (1/2-inch) slice of fresh ginger
1/2 sweet apple, such as Fuji
4 oz. water
If the lemon isn’t organic, peel it—Strawberry hulling Peel ginger. Apple cored Juice all of the produce. I juice the pulp again with my centrifugal juicer. Stir in the water. Enjoy within 24 hours.
MINTY GRAPEFRUIT GREEN JUICE
There’s something about fresh mint that makes a summer drink so refreshing. It almost cools you down by itself, and the grapefruit adds to the flavor. The apple, grapefruit, and mint mask the kale’s flavor. Ginger adds a tangy flavor while also providing anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits. If you like mint, you’ll love this Juice!
1 green apple
1/2 grapefruit, peel removed
1 cup kale leaves and stems
Fresh mint (as much as you want—I used about 1/2 cup if packed)
1/2 inch fresh ginger
1/2 cucumber, peeled
